COVID-19 Vaccine Eligibility Open to Children Aged 5 to 11

On Friday, November 19, Health Canada authorized the use of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in children 5 to 11 years of age.
Based on additional guidance and direction from the National Advisory Committee on Immunizations and the Minister of Health, York Region will open appointment bookings for children 5 to 11 years of age as of 8 a.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.
Subject to vaccine availability and supply, administration of COVID-19 vaccinations for this age group is anticipated to begin as of Friday, November 26, 2021.
Vaccines for children aged 5 to 11 will be available by appointment only. Appointments can be booked online at york.ca/covid19vaccine or by calling 1-877-464-9675.
