What happens after I apply?

EG follows a five-step application process:

  1. If you are interested in one of the Town's jobs and meet the qualifications submit your application, cover letter and resume, online prior to the closing date.
  2. Applications received by the closing date will be screened against the qualifications outlined in the job posting and invited to attend an interview. Interviews are held with an interview panel and will have behavioural and technical questions. 
  3. If contacted for an employment opportunity, please advise if you require accommodation. Accommodations are available for all steps of the recruitment process. Applicants need to make their needs known to human resources prior to the step on the process where assistance is required.
  4. At the completion of the interview, the successful candidate will be notified, and their references will be contacted.
  5. A background check (A Criminal Record Check or Vulnerable Sector Screening) will be requested, as needed, as part of the hiring process.
  6. An offer of employment will be issued and start date identified. On the first day, the candidate will complete the on-boarding forms and other relevant documents.
