Metal (White goods such as appliances, barbeques (no propane tanks), bed frames, furnaces, hot water heaters, metal bath tubs, storage sheds and bicycles)

Scrap metals (i.e. old lawnmowers, barbecues)

Residents must call GFL at 1-866-421-5625 to schedule a pick up.

For safety, remove doors from fridges, freezers, and ovens.

Please be advised that there is a CFC removal fee of $20 charged at York Region's metal appliance and drop-off depots.

Appliances containing CFC refrigerants, such as refrigerators, air conditioners and freezers must have the CFCs removed before disposal.  York Region will continue to accept metal appliances without CFCs or displaying an approved CFC removal sticker, free of charge.

At the curb side on any regular garbage day, however, it may not be picked up at the same time as the rest of the garbage since a different truck is used.

 Toilets The toilet must be at curbside by 7 a.m. and the toilet be split in two (tank removed) in order to assist the driver with pick up.
Building material: wood (including furniture i.e.: coffee tables, kitchen sets, bedroom furniture), shingles, drywall, sinks, etc.
