Message from the Mayor Banner

As of May 4, 2021, York Region Public Health has expanded their high priority community vaccination areas to include L9N in East Gwillimbury. This means that any individuals aged 35+ who live or work in this area are now eligible to book at any York Region Vaccination Clinic.

This update follows Dr.Kurji’s announcements that this was an area of emerging concern. While it is troubling that our community has been identified as a high priority area, it is encouraging to know that those living or working in the L9N postal region are able to receive a vaccine now.

I encourage everyone to get a vaccine as soon as you are eligible to do so. The best vaccine is the first one available to you.

Appointments can be scheduled through www.york.ca/COVID19vaccine.

If you require assistance with booking a vaccine appointment, please call our library’s at: 905-836-6492 (Holland Landing library branch) or 905-473-2472 (Mount Albert library branch). Further details on receiving assistance for booking and/or getting to your appointment are available on the Town's website at www.eastgwillimbury.ca.

As we continue to navigate this pandemic, we must ensure we are kind to one another and especially those working at vaccine clinics, providing essential services and those who we may interact with over the phone. This is a difficult time for everyone, and we are all doing our best to support one another – please be kind.

In addition, it is extremely important that we maintain our vigilance by adhering to all public health guidelines including wearing masks and staying home, leaving only for essential purposes.
