VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED

To help make your Town a better place

to live, work and play

Mayor Young and Members of Council are currently seeking residents to join our many Committees

If you have an interest or a skill to contribute, the following Town of East Gwillimbury Committees and Library Board require your expertise:

Accessibility Advisory Committee – To help make the Town barrier-free for all residents

Business Development Committee – To promote East Gwillimbury as a place to do business

Community Action Committee – To promote the safety, security and quality of life in our community

Environmental Advisory Committee – To find creative, common sense solutions to environmental problems

Heritage East Gwillimbury Committee – To preserve and create harmony between old and new architecture and rural and urban landscape

Physician Recruitment & Retention Advisory Committee – To attract and retain health professionals for the community

Santa Claus Parade Advisory Committee – To plan, organize and co-ordinate events for the annual Town of East Gwillimbury Santa Claus Parade

Trails Committee – To create, develop, preserve and manage the use of recreational trails

Web Site Committee – To design, create and improve the Town web site

Youth Advisory Committee – To represent the voice of youth in our community

Community Recreation Centre Committees (CRCCs) – To plan and organize community events within their respective areas (Brown Hill, Mount Albert, North Union, River Drive Park)

Property Standards Committee – To hear appeals filed by owners and occupants of property within the Town, after an order has been served requiring them to maintain their property in compliance with the Town’s Property Standards By-law

East Gwillimbury Public Library Board – To govern the two branches of the East Gwillimbury Public Library

Letters of Interest and completed Applications/Resumés will be accepted until

February 16, 2007
