Flashing Green Lights

Time is of the essence for firefighters and emergency response personnel.  It’s easy to see or hear an oncoming fire truck, ambulance or police car responding to an emergency but some Ontario firefighters respond to fires in unmarked vehicles.

Flashing green lights and green licence plate stickers identify firefighters who respond to fires or other emergencies in their personal vehicles.  The stickers are green with a white Maltese Cross, the symbol for volunteer firefighters, and are placed on the bottom left corner of the front licence plate.

Be courteous…don’t block or impede vehicles using the flashing green light. 
They could be going to your house!
