Emergency Plan for the Town

The aim of the Town of East Gwillimbury Emergency Plan is to provide the framework within which extraordinary arrangements and measures can be taken to protect the health, safety, environment, welfare and economic health of residents, businesses and visitors of the Town of East Gwillimbury when faced with an emergency.

The Emergency Plan is intended to increase the emergency response capability of the Town of East Gwillimbury by establishing a plan of action to efficiently and effectively deploy emergency services.

It is important for potential emergency response agencies to be aware of their roles and responsibilities within the response framework.  This document outlines the roles and responsibilities of the Town of East Gwillimbury as well as other response agencies at the provincial, regional, and private sector levels to meet the legislative requirements of the Emergency Management Act.

Copies of the Town of East Gwillimbury Emergency Response Plan may be viewed at the Town’s Civic Centre in the Corporate Services Department, the Holland Landing and Mount Albert Libraries or view on line (please click on the link below).
