The Town of East Gwillimbury Emergency Services respond to all types of emergencies and our firefighters perform a multitude of tasks. Therefore, ongoing training is designed to meet the needs of the firefighters and enhance the department’s response abilities while maintaining an optimum of safety for the citizens of East Gwillimbury and its emergency personnel.
- All Firefighters are required to meet the Ontario Fire Marshal’s training curriculum.
- Firefighters also work diligently to keep current certification for advanced first aid, CPR and defibrillation.
- Extra courses and specialized training are also available at the Ontario Fire College and in conjunction with The York Region Fire Departments Training Association.
