York Region Attractions

York Region is home to two big-ticket attractions: Canada's Wonderland with titillating roller coasters and exciting theatrical productions and the McMichael Canadian Art collection displaying an exciting array of home-grown art, including works of the Group of Seven artists, and Inuit and Native art and sculpture.  But, there's more to discover for the whole family. Catch a wave at the Wave Pool or ponder the distant stars as you gaze through the giant telescope at the David Dunlap Observatory in Richmond Hill.

David Dunlap Observatory. Open Wednesday mornings year-round and Saturday evenings April to October when you can tour the dome and look through the telescope.  Advanced reservations are required. 123 Hillsview Drive, Richmond Hill. 905-884-2112. 

McMichael Canadian Art Collection. National treasures await you. Devoted to outstanding Canadian art, McMichael displays one of the largest collections anywhere of works of the Group of Seven, First Nations, Inuit and contemporary artists. Paramount Canada's Wonderland. Canada's premiere theme park features 160 attractions, 50 thrill rides and Canada's largest outdoor wave pool in expanded Splash Works.  Drop Zone will make 23 storey plunge, at up to 100 km-h, on Canada's tallest free-fall ride.
