In June 2012 the Town of East Gwillimbury and the York Region District School Board entered into an exciting partnership to build a dedicated community program room in conjunction with the construction of the Phoebe Gilman Public School located on Harvest Hills Boulevard (west of Costco).
The Town’s Parks, Recreation & Culture department operates 2,135 square feet (198 square meters) of building space within the school exclusively for community programs and activities. In addition, the Town shares use of the school’s gymnasium facility for programming weeknights, weekends and during the summer months.
Residents can join a wide variety of leisure programs, activities and special events for all ages and interests. Sports, fitness, special interest courses, cultural activities, youth camps and special events are among the many programs that are offered at this location with the support and participation of the community. Check the Heath and Active Living Guide page see the full list of programs offered at this shared community facility.
