The Ontario Building Code, Division C, 22.214.171.124,requires builders to give notice to the Chief Building Official when your building is ready for mandatory inspections at each critical stage of construction.
It is your responsibility to contact the Town Building Branch to conduct the required inspections once your construction project starts. Neglecting these inspections may cause costly delays and time consuming work stoppages.
The Town requires you to call 48 business hours in advance for the mandatory inspections, at which time you must supply: Municipal address, building permit number, type of inspection, and requested inspection date. A Building Inspector can assist you in determining which inspections are required for your particular project.
