We have over 180 acres of parkland, not to mention acres of municipal open-space and Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority lands within our Town. There are 23 park locations throughout the Town.
East Gwillimbury boasts 7 community centre facilities available for a variety of public and private events and activities.
The East Gwillimbury Sports Complex boasts 2 ice surfaces and auditorium facilities offering ice time year round as well as floor time for ball hockey, lacrosse and special events.
We have 19 children's playgrounds throughout the Town, located in park settings.
Ball players of all ages enjoy 7 municipally owned ball diamonds, 4 of which are lit for evening play.
15 soccer pitches are used by the growing number of soccer enthusiasts in the Town, including one lit facility.
4 Tennis court facilities can be found within the Town. Public courts are located in Holland Landing, Queensville, Mount Ablert, and Sharon. The Queensville and Holland Landing courts are lit for evening use.
For those outdoor events and gatherings, 4 picnic shelters come in handy. Picnic shelters are found at Anchor Park and the community parks of Queensville, North Union, and Mount Albert. A gazebo is located at Sharon Hills Park.
A multipurpose outdoor court used for basketball, ball hockey and in line skating can be found in Mount Albert and Holland Landing.
