- The Revitalization construction contractor (Primrose) will begin mobilizing to the area later this week.
- Initial activities through the contractor will begin on Main Street and include construction surveys/layouts, traffic control measures, vacuum excavations, silt fencing and tree protection zones.
- The Town parking lot on the north side of Main Street, 75m west of Centre Street will be temporarily closed to the public as of Wednesday Sept 24, 2025 until Fall 2026. This parking lot will be used by the contractor for their trailer, equipment and materials. Users of the parking lot may choose to park at alternate Town parking lots including the Mount Albert Community Centre or Vivian Creek Park.

- The contractor is continuing to install tree protection zones, signage, surveys/layouts and traffic control measures along Main Street.
- Minor tree trimming and grubbing along Main Street.
- Later this week, preparation for Main Street road and storm sewer works.

- The contractor is continuing to complete surveys/layouts onsite along Main Street.
- Removal limits for curb, road and sidewalks will be painted out along Main Street.
- Main Street driveway culverts will be inspected.

Next Steps |
- The Revitalization contractor (Primrose) is mobilizing to the area in late September 2025
- Primrose will begin the construction activities along Main Street from Centre Street to King Street. The east half of the road is receiving revitalization scope matching the project drawings, the west half of the road is receiving a road rehabilitation matching the existing configuration, including upgraded sidewalk ramps at intersections.
- Following the completion of Main Street, the contractor is expecting to begin and start revitalization scope on Bank Street later this fall, pending weather conditions.
- Join us for the Mount Albert Downtown Revitalization project Community BBQ hosted by the Revitalization contractor, Primrose Contracting Inc. on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Mount Albert Community Centre Picnic Shelter (53 Main Street, Mount Albert).
