Live Stream
Live streaming provides access to municipal meetings and helps to promote accessible and transparent government operations.
The Town of East Gwillimbury is now live streaming open Council and Committee of the Whole meetings. The stream for all meetings will go live at the scheduled start time.
Please note that the live broadcast service will only display video once a live meeting is taking place.
To view the live stream, simply visit the Portal page and click on the LIVE STREAM
icon to access the stream.
Meeting minutes will remain the official record of all meetings. Additionally, in accordance with section 239 of the Municipal Act, Closed Sessions of Council will not be live streamed.

Appearing Before Council
Any member of the public may, either on his or her own behalf or as a representative of an organization or group, appear at public meeting of Council or Committee of the Whole Council and make a deputation.
Please complete the Deputation Request Form to speak at a meeting. Please indicate who the presenter(s) will be and provide a brief overview of the purpose of the deputation. Please also include a copy of any handout(s) in order that they may be included in the agenda packages distributed prior to the meeting.
Deputation Guidelines
The guidelines for making a deputation can be found in the Procedure By-law and are summarized below:

A person or organization wishing to speak to an item must submit a Deputation Request Form no later than 4:30 p.m. on the Monday of the week prior to the meeting.

A person or organization wishing to speak to an item on the published Agenda must submit a Deputation Request Form no later than noon on the Friday prior to the meeting.

The request must set out the particulars of the matter and include a copy of any materials that will be presented.

Unless otherwise directed by Council, deputations will be restricted to five (5) minutes.
