The Town of East Gwillimbury (EG) is committed to preserving our natural environment and promoting sustainability in our corporate practices and across the community.
The 2022-2026 Strategic Plan identifies Environmental Stewardship as a priority, and the approved Environmental Strategy guides the municipality’s journey toward building a more diverse, resilient, and sustainable Town for years to come.
The strategy incorporates a holistic view of the environment and is divided in five thematic areas: Land, Air, Water, Biodiversity, and Empowerment.
