This is Virginia's second term on Council.  From 1993 to 2001 she represented East Gwillimbury on the York Region District School Board as our Trustee. For many years she has been actively involved in our community including holding the positions of past vice-chair of the Recreation Committee and co-founder of the York Region Senior Games.

Virginia serves as Chair of Emergency Services. She has been appointed to the Santa Claus Parade Committee and the Christmas Tree Committee, and represents Council on the East Gwillimbury Trails Committee, the Accessibility Advisory Committee, and River Drive Park C.R.C.C. Virginia also represents East Gwillimbury as a Director on the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority.

On a personal note, Virginia, has recently retired from her 27 year employment as a Recreation Manager in a neighbouring municipality. She, along with her husband, John, enjoy special times with their three sons and their families in our community. Both are actively involved in several community organizations.
