Message to Residents:
I am proud to be a member of a Council which continues to serve our residents by protecting our Environment through the mandating of the safe removal of Mercury switches from vehicles, our Energy Star Standards, our Leed Certification Program and our Thinking Green initiatives. The heritage throughout our Municipality will be protected for the future of our children through the work of Heritage East Gwillimbury, and our new Official Plan will ensure that 70% of our community remains green as comprehensive planning minimizes the impact of growth to our existing residents.
