List of Trails
(follow the links below to more information and maps for each trail)
Holland River Trail: This 2.5 km. trail, located on the west side of the 2nd Concession and north of Green Lane near the community of Holland Landing, winds to the west along the south side of the Holland River and loops back to its starting point at the dam. It offers a diversity of mixed bush, meadowlands, a small wetland and the river. Parking is available on the east side of the 2nd concession, in the Rogers Reservoir parking lot situated between the railroad line and the Holland River.
Roger's Reservoir Trail: This is a 2km woodland trail along a section of the unfinished Holland River Canal. Parking is available at both the Green Lane and 2nd Concession entrances in Holland Landing.
Simcoe Trail: This 1.2 km. trail runs north and south between Thompson drive and Queens Court, east of Yonge street in Holland Landing. This is an interesting trail for nature lovers, as it meanders through an area of mixed bush and meadows. Access is available from Thompson Drive, the Holland Landing Community Centre, Anchor Park or Queen's Court.
Sutton-Zephyr Rail Trail: The southern end of this trail is on Holborn Road, approximately 1 km west of Highway 48. The parking lot is located on the north side of the street. The trail begins is a reforested area and heads west a few metres before turning north for the remaining 4 km to the Brown Hill Station Park, where parking is also available. The trail has a dry gravel surface and is bordered by marshland and a forested area. This is a very easy walk in a sparsely populated part of York Region.
Vivian Creek Trail: The trail begins at Samuel Harper Court in Mount Albert and proceeds west through the parkette into a meadow. Once across the Vivian Creek, walkers can chose to follow the loop in either direction, through a wooded area. At the top of the hill, two paved sections connect the trail to Valley Mills Court and then access to downtown Mount Albert.
