Business Development Advisory Committee
The purpose of this committee is to identify the Town of East Gwillimbury as a place to do business. The three key elements to achieve this goal are Communication, Branding and Promotion. To communicate effectively about our town and its various communities, the Committee recognized the need to present a consistent, recognizable image of the town (branding) and to use that image in all of the Town's promotional activities.
Accomplishments
The Committee created a new logo for the Town of East Gwillimbury. This will now lead to a consistent, identifiable image for external communications about the Town. Developing the EG Business Toolkit for new and existing businesses, creation of a community enhancement dollar for dollar policy, the Business Retention and Expansion (BR & E) program, and support for broadband wireless have all been undertaken to support our business community. The Committee has also hosted fundraisers to attract new audiences to our Town.
