The Canadian Agricultural Income Stabilization (CAIS) program integrates stabilization and disaster protection into a single program, helping producers protect their farming operations from both small and large drops in income. The CAIS program is a whole-farm program available to eligible farmers regardless of the commodities they produce.

The Farm Improvement and Marketing Cooperatives Loans Act (FIMCLA) is a loan guarantee program which facilitates the availability of credit to producers to a maximum of $250 000 and farmer-owned marketing cooperatives to a maximum of $3 million to improve farm assets, strengthen production and/or improve financial viability.

Advance Payments Program (APP) provides cash advances with an interest-free feature on the first $50,000 to eligible producers to store eligible crops after harvest allowing them to market the crops later in the season when the market conditions may result in better prices and thereby encouraging the orderly marketing of the crop.

The Tile Drain Loan program allows farmers to borrow a portion of their initial investment to install Tile drains on their agriculture lands, up to $50,000. Funding is made available by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. Generally Banks demonstrate little interest in lending for tile drainage.
