Reduce your speed

York Regional Council has approved reduced speed limits on several regional roads. The new speed limits came into effect on April 19, and feature a new sign above the reduced speed limit on the following roads:

  • Mount Albert Road from east of 2nd Concession to west of Leslie Street is going down to 60 km/h from 70 km/h.

  • Green Lane from Bathurst Street to west of Woodspring Avenue and from east of Yonge Street to Woodbine Avenue is dropping to 70 km/h from 80 km/h.

  • Holland Landing Road from Bathurst, extending 215 metres north, is being reduced to 60 km/h from 70 km/h.

  • Leslie from Doane Road, extending 860 metres north, is going to 60 km/h from 80 km/h.

  • McCowan Road, from Mount Albert Road to north of Mill Road, is dropping to 60 km/h from 80 km/h.

  • Ravenshoe from the Queensway South to Thornlodge Drive is dropping to 60 km/h from 70 km/h.

  • Ravenshoe from Thornlodge, extending 450 metres east, is going down to 60 km/h from 80 km/h.

  • Ravenshoe from 240 metres east of Ravencrest to 480 metres east of Ravenshoe is dropping to 60 km/h from 80 km/h.

  • Woodbine from Glenwoods to south of the Highway 404 off-ramp is being reduced to 70 km/h from 80 km/h.
