The Town of East Gwillimbury (EG) is undertaking a Town-wide Master Plan for Water and Wastewater Services. The Master Plan will identify long-term strategies for servicing current and future populations, in accordance with the Town's growth projections to the ultimate planning horizon of 2051.

The Water and Wastewater Master Plan will be prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) process. EG is completing this Master Plan addressing Phase 1 – Problem or Opportunity, and Phase 2 – Alternative Solutions of the Municipal Engineers Association (MEA) Class EA process. The study is conducted at a broad level of assessment in which site-specific Class EA's for all recommended Schedule ‘B' projects are to be completed in the future, closer to the time of the projects' implementation.
