Civic Precinct Plan Study

What is it?

The Town is undertaking a Civic Precinct Plan Study that will look at the potential future uses and design of the Civic Precinct lands. The study will build on design work that has already completed for the area as well as existing policies and concepts imbedded in the Town’s documents, including the Official Plan.

The Civic Precinct Plan Area is located in the community of Sharon, south of Mount Albert Road, west of Leslie Street. Specifically, the Civic Precinct Plan area includes the East Gwillimbury Civic Centre property, the adjacent lands north of the Civic Centre owned by the Town, the Sharon Temple property and the Town parkland to the south of the Sharon Temple.

The Town has engaged the planning consultants MacNaughton Hermsen Britton Clarkson Planning Limited (MHBC) to undertake the Civic Precinct Plan Study.
