Mount Albert Water System Sampling

The Regional Municipality of York will be working in your community collecting water samples from the drinking water distribution system. The sampling is part of the Mount Albert Water Supply Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) study. The Mount Albert Water Supply Class EA study is identifying improvements to the water supply system reliability and water quality.

July 17 at 9 a.m. to July 18, 2019 at 4 p.m.

What Can You Expect?

There will be no impact to your water service. The sampling will be performed at existing monitoring stations located in the Mount Albert community. The monitoring stations will have a small amount of water flowing from the monitoring ports for the duration of the testing. The water from the monitoring ports will be intentionally left running during the sampling period as samples are collected every two hours. The water flow at the monitoring stations will be turned off after the final sample is collected.

There are two water sampling events; the second event is scheduled for early August. Additional information will be provided.
