Earth Hour in EG

 Earth Hour 2018

On March 24, 2018 from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. the Town of East Gwillimbury will join cities worldwide to show our support for the awareness of climate change through the Earth Hour campaign.

Earth Hour has grown rapidly from a single event in Sydney, Australia in 2007, to 128 countries and territories united across the globe making it the largest voluntary action ever witnessed. For more information visit www.earthhour.org.

The Town will be turning off all non-essential building systems and lighting. Recreational activities and rental permits will not be affected.

Residents are also asked to Switch Off for one hour.

We encourage residents and businesses to participate and share your pledge with us!

Continue to make a difference and show your support by conserving energy everyday at home and at work. Together we can help make a substantial difference.
