Indoor Amenities

Community Centres and Facilities

The Modified Stage 2 Provincial restrictions will reduce occupancy limits within municipal facilities. It is staff’s understanding that the revised occupancy for arena spaces will be 10 per ice pad. At our Recreation Centres and Libraries, occupancy cannot exceed 10 per library space and 10 per gym/program room space.

Community Parks Recreation and Culture staff will continue to work with our sports groups including East Gwillimbury Minor Hockey Association and the East Gwillimbury Skating Club to provide a safe space for participants.

View the Health & Active Living Guide for a full list of in-person and virtual programming.

East Gwillimbury Public Library

On Tuesday, October 20 both library branches will revert to Stage 2 guidelines. Residents will continue to have access to computers for up to 1-hour, checkout services and curbside pickup by completing the online Curbside Pickup Request Formlinks to external site or by calling their local branch. Staff will be available to assist visitors with finding material as they will not be permitted to handle books or material on the shelves. Town Events and Meetings

Fall Town Events

Current Provincial regulations limit occupancy for indoor spaces at 50 participants and 100 participants for outdoor spaces including parks. As a result, the Town will not be hosting large scale in-person events for the remainder of the year. Given the success of the Canada Day virtual event, staff will seek to host online events where possible.
