Outdoor Skating Rinks 

EG has two outdoor skating rinks, located at : 

Registration is not required, however skaters are asked to limit their ice time to 30 minutes to allow others to enjoy the ice.

Conducting Town business during COVID-19

While we continue to navigate the COVID-19 recovery, there are new ways that you can interact with the Town.
Below, are a few commonly requested services and how you can complete them during these unique times.

Paying your water or tax bill

 The Town continues to take payments for water and tax bills through a variety of processes. You can:
  • Pay your bills online through your bank (select East Gwillimbury Taxes / East Gwillimbury Water or Utilities)

Drop off your cheque at the drop box located at the front of the Civic Centre

Access your tax/ water account activity by using the Self Serve Portal.

Purchase a green bin or blue box

Residents can purchase green or blue bins (12 or 22 gallon) by visiting Customer Service, located inside of the Civic Centre during regular business hours.

Participate in a recreation program

Winter program registration opens December 1 and programs begin in January. Visit the Health & Active Living Guide page to view the Guide and winter camps, programs and drop-ins.  

To help our residents stay healthy and active the Town launched a Health & Active Living Challenge on social media. All of the videos are still available with fun fitness, and family activities on our YouTube channel.

Purchase a fire permit

Please visit our Fire Burning Permits page, to learn more about fire permits, oversized burns/special fires (the cost is different than the standard fire permit) and their requirements. To purchase a recreational permit, you can: 

  • Complete the online application 
  • Visit Customer Service located at the Civic Centre 
  • Drop off your completed application in the Town’s secure dropbox along with a cheque for $39.70 in an envelope with your name, phone number and email address.

Purchase a dog licence

Dog licences are $37.70 and $27.90 for seniors (65+). Purchase your licence online or visit Customer Service located at the Civic Centre.
